HVVC 14-2 focuses on competitive development and building a strong volleyball foundation. Led by Coach Mary Bredenkamp and Assistant Coach Kaia Iranon, athletes grow through structured training, tournament play, and a supportive team environment.

Mary Bredenkamp

Head Coach

Mary fell in love with volleyball in sixth grade and never stopped. She played for Nike NW Jrs. and Cascade Jrs., and at Sam Barlow HS where her team finished second in state twice. She leads with high standards — balancing hard work with genuine fun.

She returned to Sam Barlow High School as JV2 Head Coach and develops athletes through positive encouragement and constructive feedback, both on and off the court.

Assistant Coach

Kaia helps build a positive and competitive team environment for HVVC 14-2 every session. She works alongside Coach Mary to keep athletes engaged, focused, and improving — contributing to a team culture built on effort and accountability.

Support and encourage teammates on and off the court. Foster teamwork and sportsmanship in every situation.

Commit

Commit to regular attendance at practices and tournaments. Athletes are expected to attend all tournaments unless previously excused.

Communication

GameChanger is used for tracking schedules, results, athlete statistics, and team announcements.
